Description
Both labels have the address of 203 South Washington Ave., Bergenfield, N.J. with the same address at the bottom of the back cover. The initials "RVG" are inscribed in the dead wax. 8 tracks with leader, Davis, trumpet; John Coltrane, tenor sax; Red Garland, piano; Paul Chambers, bass; Philly Joe Jones, drums. The tracks include 2 short takes of "The Theme" at the end of each side. Name of previous owner is stamped on the back cover.
Cover: VG+ Intact, date of the recording is written in ink at the bottom of the tune schedule on the back cover. Slight aging on the back cover. Fine overall condtion.
Record: VG++ to Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. 1 small surface rub mark on Track 1, Side B for part of the track. 3 or 4 faint clicks on the first revolutions on Track 1, Side A. This is barely audible and 4 light clicks on the balance of Side A. 2 light clicks on the first revolutions on Tracks 1 & 2 on Side B. Those on Track 2 are barely audible as well. All the noise described is slight and very limited. The overall sound and quality is close to Mint. I have graded conservatively. Audibly checked.
