Description
Record has 767 Lexington Ave. NYC address on both labels, deep groove. Same address on the bottom of the back cover. Record has “ear” and “RVG” inscribed in the deadwax. 11 tracks include 2 alternate takes. 3 groups detailed in the notes on the back cover. The 1952 date includes J.J. Johnson, Jackie McLean and others. The 1953 date includes Johnson, Jimmy Heath and others. The 1954 date includes Horace Silver, Percy Heath, and Art Blakey. Rare, original. Cover: VG+ or better. Intact with some corner wear and light edge wear. Some light aging and a small amount of soil from handling on the front and back cover. Fine condition considering its age. Record: VG+ to mint(-). Visually shows no wear. There are a few very light rub marks. These are barely visible. Some occur at the very beginning of each side and few very light spots on the vinyl which do not affect the surface. The first track on each side has some light clicks and some very light crackle. The balance of the record has no surface noise. Heavy vinyl pressing. Audibly checked.
