Ever seen one of these  in this condition!

MILES DAVIS PORGY AND BESS

UK Original Fontana Release

Catalogue Number TFL 5056

Vinyl LP UK Mono

Released 1959

UK Fontana Label

In storage since day of release,  but read on for more than honest review!

Only the cover shows any real age and that is still great for 66 years old . It is beautiful.! Check out the pics

VINYL

Both sides are, I believe unplayed. Certainly it has never seen a needle. I'd call it MINT, but if being over 60 years old prevents that description, then Mint -, but it would be impossible to find it better

The other side needed a torch (I'm checking all vinyl with atorch) to see the slightest of whisper hairline marks in one area (folk tell me it's often due to a paper sleeve, but this one was poly linde!). They are so slight, they won't make any difference, may even clean out with a record vauum, but I only mention them to be 100% clear.

I've tried to photo it with a torch shining on it, see pic, but they are so slight the camera doesn't pick them up. To be honest, I struggled to see it when I looked again!

Always tempted to give this part of the collection a spin(I have a lot of old unplayed mint vinyl, selling limited amount to get some cash) , but never have, even on my Roksan Xerxes turntable.

There's someting fantastic about saying it's unplayed.

RUN OUT GROOVE IDENTIFICATION CODES MATRIX NUMBERS

Side 1 says   AA682044 1L 2//420

Side 2 says   AA682044 2L 4//420

Correct me if I am wrong please, but I think it means it's a first pressing, but please double check yourself.

LABELS

Perfect - see the pics. The lovely Silver Black Fontana Label

INNER BAG

It is the original, and is lined, has some generic text about handling and playing but not too exciting, but is is the original

It will be shiped in a new poly sleeve, with the original alongside.

THE COVER (Great Image of Miles on the cover!)

It's THIN! manufactured thin. Laminated front and back, with two flips to the rear. Flat, overall. Truth is it's just been in storage alongside other stuff, so has the slightest of storageilabel ring but slight. Please examine the pics to see it preciseley. There is a small bit of lifting to the laminate on the cenre rear.

Very light and small staining to the front , see pics that make it look far far worse. Cover crease in the top right front - again see pic.

Photos just make stuff seem worse - look at the font cover main pic and it seems there's a mark on the pink above the "P" - but there isn't!!!

There is a laminate scuff in the reat top centre. No Splits or anything like that, edges are perfect

Overall really great condition, but I've picked out every slight issue.

NOTES

Can't really say much more, vinyl wise, it can't get much better than this condition. Cover wise is excellent for a plus 60 year old record.

Any questions please ask. Always try and describe my records accuratley and pick out every detail I can. Hopefully the pictures show exactly what you need to know.
