Miles Davis--The Musings of Miles Mono Prestige 7007 Miles Davis (tr), Red Garland (p), Oscar Pettiford (b), Philly Joe Jones (d) Recorded 6/7/55. DG label.On the dead wax: 'RVG' etched (not stamped) on both sides.
Sound Quality: NM-... The intrinsic sound quality is completely intact and absolutely terrific.
Vinyl: VG+...Very clean stretches interspersed with areas of not infrequent but very low-volume ticks. Some scattered more audible clicks. Far from ideal but a highly listenable record. (In detail:) A-Side: 1st track plays well with just some low-volume ticks. The 2nd track has more frequent ticking and two louder clicks. The 3rd track has two louder clicks but otherwise plays quite cleanly. B-Side: 1st track has just a few very-low volume ticks and one louder click. The 2nd track has a few seconds of surface noise but otherwise plays excellently. The 3rd track has some low-volume ticks at the beginning then problem-free. (The B-Side could well grade VG++.) The vinyl shows some fading. Quite a few marks but uniformly light and superficial.
Covers: VG++... There is a small frayed section on the front corner and some age-related discoloration on the back cover. ust a few spots of rubbing and a shadow of ring-wear on the back. No seams splits, No front ring-wear and the front graphic is in excellent shape, glossy, bright and fresh.

Packaging includes new audiophile inner sleeves, new outer sleeves, cardboard padding, bubble-wrap and a thick cardboard record box.
