Description

Miles Davis -Chronicle The Complete Prestige Recordings -1951-1956- Released in 1980

LIMITED EDITION:This one being number 4875. There were 10,000 pressed.

Enclosed are 12 Near Mint LP's each in their own special protective inner sleeves, then into binded sleeves for protecting the vinyl. This is a booklet style set complete with list of musicians-list of songs-list of players on each song-a title index-pages of B&W photography-Forword by Dan Morgenstern-Paragraphs on each session(who-when and where-and finally,a Prestige Records Discography of Miles Davis Prestige Recordings.All of this on large thick guage semi-glossy pages, Real nice touch.More musicians listed on back of cover of booklet.

The booklet has a crease from top ,beginning between the M and I of Miles on top upper-front cover.It comes out on the bottom of the S, in Davis on mid front cover.  Hardly noticable on front,more noticable on the inside of front cover.  The very beginnings of separation appear where front cover meets the spine on front cover, topside. I would call it all "general wear" from being on the planet for 27 years.  All lp holders are binded down tight and there are NO rips-tears-smudging or writing anywhere on the package.

Because of the bulk weight of this piece I put $20.00 down for postage. It will be pro-rated if it's more or if it's less. It's dimensions are 12 1/2 by 12 1/2 and I "guesstimate" it weighs in at 5 lbs.

All in All I would Grade this keepsake a VG+++

I had a hard time coming up with a fair opening bid. Being that I did not find any of these currently on ebay and I found none in completed listings....and being that there were (supposedly) only 10,000 of these manufactured, I started at $199.00
