You are bidding on a out of print copy of the Miles Davis - Chronicle: The Complte Presitge Recordings 12 LP set released by Prestige Records in 1980. This is P-012. The name says it all here, this is the complete recordings Miles Davis did for Prestige Records from 1951-1956 on 12 records, featuring a who's-who of jazz legends such as John Coltrane, Jackie McLean, Sonny Rollins, Charlie Parker, Charles Mingus, Max Roach, Art Blakey, Thelonious Monk and many others! This was a limited edition set of 10,000 copies, and it is usually is numbered on the first page of the book inside the jacket, however this set has not been numbered (see the picture). All 12 records are in VG+ condition. The record labels are all in NM condition. All of the records are sleeved into individual jackets that are sewn to the spine of the outer set jacket. The set booklet in in VG condition with light wear and is also sewn into the spine of the jacket. The outer set jacket is in VG condition with some shelfwear and edgewear. There is a bit of wear to the spine but it is still very much intact. There are also 4 small notches on the front and back panels of the outer jacket on the lower edge. Special note on shipping: Due to the weight of this set, any shipping outside of the continental US will have to be shipped via priority mail, as the total package weight will be very close to 7 pounds!

We visually grade all our records for sale and grade both the record and the jacket. We go by general standards for grading, which are:
Mint (M) - an unplayed, new copy of a record. no visual defects!
Near Mint (NM) - a nearly perfect record that has usually only been played 1-3 times, in "like new" condition.
Very Good + (VG+) - record still in excellent condition but has minor signs of wear such as surface scuffs/light scratches that don't affect the play. jacket has minor signs of wear such as light ringwear, edgewear, shelfwear, and/or light creasing.
Very Good (VG) - record has more wear than VG+ and may have some slight surface noise, light pops, some scuffs or scratches. generally still a great playing copy. jacket may have more wear, writing, sticker residue, punch out/cut out holes or corners.
Very Good - (VG-) - record has noticeable groove wear, surface noise, scratches, and/or scuffs but still a decent playing copy. jacket has heavier wear and may have a small split seam.
Good + and Good (G+ and G) - record still plays without skipping but has considerable amounts of groove wear, surface noise, scuffs, and/or scratches. jacket has alot of wear and some defects such as split seams, heavy creasing, writing, marks, sticker residue, etc...
