Description
Miles Davis, Bitches Brew, Japanese Quadrophonic mix. Plays with no problem on stereo equipment. To quote, and they don't write 'em like this anymore!, from a 1950's Columbia sleeve,
"This Columbia High Fidelity recording is scientifically designed to play with the highest quality of reproduction on the phonograph of your choice, new or old. If you are the owner of a new stereophonic system, this record will play with even more brilliant true-to-life fidelity. In short you can purchase this record with no fear of its becoming obsolete in the future."
Vinyl is excellent with just a few very light paper scuffs which do not affect play. There is some barely noticeable surface noise in a few quiet passages but nothing intrusive or which will disturb the enjoyment of the album.
The cover has some foxing on the inside and light ringwear on front cover and inside, please see photo's.
The mix is slightly different from the stereo version. I noticed it most in the echo applied to Miles's trumpet. The sound is excellent it's clear, defined and solid.
