Description
Original 1st Pressing In Mono On Prestige Records Released In 1955. Both Sides Have The Maroon Fireworks Label w/Silver Text & Deep Groove Press Ring. The Runouts Have “RVG” Etched & Ear Mark. Side A Has Some Hairlines & One Audible Scratch But Overall Plays Pretty Good(StrongVG). Side B Is A Bit Cleaner & Plays Particularly Well(VG+). The Cover Has Normal Wear & Some Tape On The Seams(VG-). Also Has Seymour’s Record Mart Stamp On The Back Which Ultimately Turned Into The Famous Jazz Record Mart In Chicago.
Please Keep In Mind That 10” Records Of This Age Are Graded A Bit Differently. In General, Even Visibly Clean Copies Play w/A Bit Of Noise. When Released They Either Had No Inner Sleeve Or One That Wouldn’t Necessarily Preserve It’s Condition. Lastly, The Players In The 50’s Were Like Dropping An Anchor On The Record. So With The Understanding That We Are Bordering On Artifact Territory Here Please Keep Expectations Within Reason. In Summation, This Is An Exceptional Copy Of A Damn Good Record/Historical American Document That Should Be Preserved & Cherished.
