Description
This is a various-artists collection of songs the New York Yankee great, Mickey Mantle, claimed were among his favorites. Entitled "My Favorite Hits", this is one of the rarest LP's around, especially in a Near Mint Condition, on RCA Victor (LPM-1705). This is a must-have if you collect sports memorabilia...especially about the Yankeee's Greatest player, Mickey Mantle.
Record cover is in VG++/NM condition with some staple holes in the upper right hand corner of the cover. Glossy colors with no ring wear....this is an EXCELLENT buy. The record inside is also in VG++/NM condition with just a few "very slight" surface scratches....otherwise this is a pristine copy!! Put in a Mobile Fidelity inner sleeve (The BEST there IS) after it was cleaned (See Below).
PLEASE NOTE: I follow a record cleaning ritual that maximizes the sound quality of this record. The surface is cleaned with a record brush, followed by the use of "Disc Doctor" brushes and fluids to loosen any remaining contaminants. The fluids are then suctioned off with a VPI record cleaning machine, followed by a distilled water rinse. This makes the record sound better and the anti-static agents lasts a lifetime! The record is then put in a anti-static inner sleeve.
