A killer roots tune from Michael Palmer singing about the collie herb. Issued here as a Jamaican 7" on the Yah Wee Gone label...This is the original pressing not any later re-press. The track also featured on the UK pressed and released LP Angella....Produced by Keith Wignall. Although the re-press states that it is produced by Ossie Thomas......Which I think is incorrect, the 7" does state that the executive producer is Ossie Harvey. Someone also incorrectly stated that this is Count Ossie. The re-press also credits the dub to Scientist...But he is not mentioned on this pressing, although there's no reason to doubt that it is. This 7" is a rarity. Some copies of this have a misprinted label, this copy has a blank A side label. The matrix number in the runout groove is DSR 2278 A COLLIE MAN PABLO and DSR 2278 B. So it is definitely the Michael Palmer track. The vinyl is visually graded as VG+ with no scuffs or marks, the labels are a bit untidy but they came like that. The record plays with no scratches or pops or crackles, there is a little of the usual Jamaican pressing surface noise.........But the bass is very very loud..........A proper wall shaker and window rattler!
