I Mini-LP sono CD audiophile fabbricati in giappone sotto licenza dei detentori dei copyright, funzionanti su tutti i lettori CD e caratterizzati da una qualità audio decisamente superiore rispetto alle versioni su CD stampate in altri paesi. A tal fine vengono utilizzate le più evolute tecniche di Mastering (K2 20bit, K2 24bit, DSD, K2HD, HQCD, SHM, or HDCD) e i migliori impianti di produzione giapponesi. Sono la versione su CD di un titolo che è stato originariamente pubblicato come LP in vinile e le loro confezioni sono sempre di qualità superiore, rispetto alla maggior parte delle rispettive versioni in vinile. Essi sono anche denominati “Cardboard Sleeves” o “Paper Sleeves” o “Repliche di LP” in quanto le loro copertine esterne sono fedeli e perfette riproduzioni di cartone delle confezioni dei vinili originali di prima stampa, infatti contengono quasi sempre, tutti gli inserti miniaturizzati (Poster, cartoline, fogli con i testi) dei vinili originali. Sono tutti caratterizzati dalla presenza della OBI Strip, il cui nome deriva dalla striscia di tessuto presente sui kimono giapponesi, che contiene sulla sua superficie tutte le informazioni del prodotto (tracce, date dei concerti, data di rilascio, prezzo e tante altre) riportate in dialetto Kana. Le loro dimensioni sono di 13,5 centimetri di base e altezza.

The Mini-LP audiophile CD manufactured in Japan under license from the copyright holders, working on all CD players and characterized by a much higher sound quality than the printed versions on CD elsewhere. For this purpose are used the most advanced mastering techniques (K2 20bit, 24bit K2, DSD, K2HD, HQCD, SHM, or HDCD) and the best production facilities in Japan. They are the CD version of a title that was originally released as vinyl LPs and their packages are always of superior quality than most of their vinyl releases. They are also called "Cardboard Sleeves" or "Paper Sleeves" or "LP Replica" because their outer covers are faithful and perfect reproductions of the cardboard packaging of the original first vinyl release, in fact almost always contain all the inserts miniaturized (posters, postcards, sheet with the lyrics) of the original vinyl. They are all characterized by the presence of OBI Strip, whose name derives from the strip of tissue present on the Japanese kimono, on its surface that contains all the product information (tracks, concert dates, release date, price and many others) reported in Kana dialect. Their dimensions are 13.5 cm base and height.

Thriller è un Mini-LP CD con copertina apribile appartenente alla serie Limited Edition “EICP”. La versione in vendita è la rara prima edizione, sigillata e completa di tutti gli inserti, pubblicata l’ 8 luglio del 2009 esclusivamente per il mercato Giapponese. Thiller è il sesto album in studio di Michael Jackson, raggiunse la vetta sulla Billboard 200 Chart e ci rimase per ben 37 settimane, rimase invece nella top 10 per 80 settimane e in classifica per 122 settimane. Da quest'album vennero estratti sette singoli tra cui Billie Jean, Beat It, ed infine l'omonima Thriller. Il primo (Billie Jean) raggiunse la prima posizione nella Billboard Hot 100 rimanendovi per sette settimane consecutive e nella R&B chart per nove settimane. Il brano è il più famoso della carriera di Jackson ed è considerato uno dei migliori nella storia della musica. Beat It raggiunse anch'essa la prima posizione sulla Billboard Hot 100 e la mantenne per tre settimane, mentre Thriller non raggiunse la vetta sulla Hot 100 bensì in quella Hot Dance Club Play rimanendovi per undici settimane. Dopo un anno dalla sua pubblicazione il disco aveva già venduto più di 27 milioni di copie, e nel 1985 venne introdotto per la prima volta nel Guinness dei primati come disco di maggior successo di sempre. Thriller inoltre, è stato il primo e unico album della storia ad essere il best-seller americano per due anni di fila (1983-1984). Parte del successo dell'album è dovuto inoltre all'esibizione al 25° anniversario della Motown dove Michael Jackson si esibì in Billie Jean e lanciò il Moonwalk ovvero la celebre camminata all'indietro (successivamente usata in tutte le esibizioni live di Billie Jean). Al disco collaborarono anche altri artisti, tra cui Paul McCartney, Toto ed Eddie Van Halen. Nel 1984, Thriller ricevette 12 nominations ai Grammy Awards e ne vinse 8 (cifra record per un solo album). The retail version is the rare first edition, sealed and complete with all inserts, published the 'July 8, 2009 exclusively for the Japanese market. Thiller is the sixth studio album by Michael Jackson, reached the peak on the Billboard 200 chart and stayed there for over 37 weeks, but remained in the top 10 for 80 weeks in the charts for 122 weeks. From this album were taken seven singles, including Billie Jean, Beat It, Thriller, and finally the same name. The first (Billie Jean) reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and remaining there for seven consecutive weeks in the R & B charts for nine weeks. The song is the most famous of Jackson's career and is considered one of the best in music history. Beat It also reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and kept it for three weeks, as Thriller did not reach the summit on the Hot 100 but in the Hot Dance Club Play remaining there for eleven weeks. After a year of its publication, the record had already sold more than 27 million copies, and in 1985 was introduced for the first time in the Guinness Book of Records as the most successful drive ever. Thriller also was the first and only album in history to be the best-selling American for two years in a row (1983-1984).
