This very special single is probably THE most sought-after piece of Michael Jackson memorabilia on the planet. The Smile single was due for release as one of the last singles from the HIStory album, but unfortunately, Sony decided to cancel this release. Some copies were retained in Sony buildings, some 12" and some cd singles. The production of this single was cancelled very early on during production, so copies of these items are very few and far between.
The item is housed in a unique and sublime black and white picture sleeve, with Michael dressed as Charlie Chaplin. This was a tribute from Michael to Charlie, and to show homage - given the fact 'Smile' was first released by Charlie Chaplin.
