Description
This is part of a big auction full of rockabilly record from Checker, Decca, Imperial and several very small label. Great stuff that doesn't come up for sale often. Many of these are promos or have original sleeves and almost all all are in great shape.

Format: 45 rpm 7" single
Year: 1956
Notes: Hard to find first release by Thompson. This is his only records credited as "with The Meteors". Only released a few others in the 50's, all on small labels - this one out of Memphis. Great rockabilly vocals with some aggression here and great sounding slide guitar. Really good stuff.
Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is super-clean. Very little wear, just one hairline across the Raw side and a handful of pressing bubbles. Makes the surface look worse than it it. None of these affect play at all. This one sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, plays with hardly any background noise at all. Label is super-clean with no marks/tears/stickers. This is an overall nice copy that I think just goes over the line to VG+ due to playability.
