Metallica – The $5.98 EP Garage Days Re-Revisited Elektra Asylum 60757 Vinyl
Description
Up for sale is a Metallica - The $5.98 EP Garage Days Re-Revisited vinyl record from 1987; released by Elektra and Asylum Records with the catalog number of 9 60757-1 (as shown along the spline of the album cover; whereas it's just 60757-1 on the record's inlay).
This album was acquired sometime back in the nineties or maybe the 2000's. It was then left in a crate and just about forgotten about, 'til it was pulled out recently and cleaned free of all the cobwebs and dust that had accumulated on it.
From what I can see the album cover exhibits signs of the usual wear and tear nature; with some creases and/or scuff marks happening all along the corners and/or edges of the cardboard. The inner record sleeve also exhibits some signs of tearing; which may cause the record to slightly poke out of one end (usually the one opposite to where the record normally goes into and whatnot).
The track listing and run times for this record are as follows...
Side One
1. Helpless (6:36) 2. The Small Hours (6:39)
Side Two
1. The Wait (4:55) 2. Crash Course In Brain Surgery (3:10) 3. Last Caress/Green Hell (3:28)
The matrix numbers on this record's innermost grooves are as follows... On side one, a handwritten matrix number reads STE 60757A 1 and this is immediately followed by 1-1. Elsewhere on down the groove, a stamped TML-X can be seen and this is followed by a logo which reads SRC, with the S being the larger one of these three letters; almost coiling itself around the others like a snake or something. And this logo appears right before the main matrix number. On side two, the matrix number is once again handwritten and reads STE 60757 B-1 and is once again preceded by the aforementioned SRC logo (just like it appeared on side one). This once again, the matrix number is followed by a 1-1 and further on down the same small typeset letters of TML-X can be spotted.
The record itself may also have scratches and/or fingerprints on it from previous use. I don't ever recall actually ever playing this album since I didn't have a working record player at the time and I still don't; which basically means that I have no way of testing it out to make sure that it still plays without a hitch. Any of the wear on it was brought to us in part by the previous owner; whoever they may have been... as I can't seem to remember who gave us this record. Because of these circumstances; please consider this an as-is auction listing.
I'm pretty sure this record will have some value to the right collector out there.
