Description
We have here a first pressing of Metallica Ride the Lightning from 1984 on Megaforce Records MRI 769 - not a repress this is the real deal! First pressing with silver center labels with Megaforce’s address on the label, denoting a first press.
Matrix on Side A: MRI-769-A ? MASTERING BY FRANKFORD/WAYNE NEW YORK ¢ L.I.? A-1 Matrix on Side B: MRI-769-B ? A-1
Includes printed photo/lyric inner.
Grading:
Vinyl: VG Vinyl has marks, visible scratches and fingerprints consistent with the VG grade, but I play tested both sides before listing it - there are no skips or jumps at all (tested on a Audio-Technica AT-LP1240). It has some crackling and noise associated with a VG grade, but plays really nice and - of course - has the crisp sound and clarity of the Megaforce release.
Sleeve: VG Accumulation of defects make this a solid VG, but no big problems at all. Edgewear on all sides, but miraculously, no seam splits. Great presenter for the grade.
Inner: VG 3” split along bottom, and wrinkling consistent with the grade.
Shipping:
I am a record collector and have been shipping records, comic books and artwork for 23 years on Ebay - I will remove the record from the sleeve during shipping to prevent seam splits. If your album has a printed inner, I will remove it from that as well to prevent seam splits and provide a generic inner to protect the record in transit. Your record will be packed in a box accordingly to ensure it arrives to you safe and sound.
You will be provided a tracking number by Ebay.
