Description
- Original 1986 French pressing on N.E.W (New Electric Way)
- Brown cardboard sleeve with red colour cover (not pink!)
- Distributor 'MUSIDISC' correctly spelled on centre labels (not MUSICDISC)
- Sleeve condition: Good (slightly worn, typical creases but no tears)
- Vinyl Condition: Very Good (only slight but no deep scratches)

To bidders who have followed my auction for the last weeks:
you may wonder why I haven't offered the single again after the auction stopped on April 2nd! Here's why: A bidder asked me to send pictures showing the matrix of the record so I added the pictures #8 and #9 to my auction. After that another bidder got in touch with me and expressed concerns about the scratches that can be seen on the new pictures and asked if the record would play without any problems. Even though I was sure it definitely would, because I couldn't remember any problems the last time I played it years ago, I started to feel uneasy, because I couldn't check it again as my old turntable was out of order. Anyway, I decided to stop my auction for some time, purchase a new turntable and check the record to guarantee it plays without any problems. Well, as a proof of me checking the record, I've added picture #10 now, that shows my new turntable playing Side B of the single. So whatever the scratches on the previous pictures may look like, they don't effect the playing.
While playing the record I came across another important thing I completely had forgotten about it: On the back of the sleeve you can read 'Extrait de l'Album 2320' in french and I've always thought it says 'two songs of the album', but it really means 'excerpts' of two songs of the album! As the record plays at the speed of 45rpm the playing time per side is limited to approximately 5 1/2 minutes, but 'Master of Puppets' lasts 8:38 min. and 'Welcome Home (Sanitarium)' 6:28 min. So due to the limited playing time both tracks are shortened 'fade out' versions! 'Master of Puppets' fades out after 3:30 min. right before the acoustic guitar part sets in and 'Welcome Home (Sanitarium)' lasts only 4:00 min. This detail isn't mentioned on the cover and even at the discogs marketplace nobody added this information! Anyway, if you win this auction, you can be sure to get an absolute unique collector's item.
