Metallica -Jump In The Fire vinyl picture disc, 1st pressing – no barcode, PKUT105
Although the song was released on the Kill ‘em All album in 1983, Music for Nations released this limited edition picture disc in 1986 as the band were leaving them for Vertigo Records so wanted to ‘cash in’ whilst they could.
Music For Nations PKUT105 - NO barcode version. This record was pressed two times. The first pressing (this one) has no barcode, the second pressing has one on the back.
It is a nice clean copy – but has some surface noise on the ‘run in’ to the songs. Although the original recording had very distorted guitars anyway, I would say that this copy has a bit extra distortion to the whole sound (I can’t explain why) – bit more noticeable on the B side , but also evident on A side. Nothing that ruins the record but could only describe it as ‘acceptable’ sound quality. That said – looks great, the rarer 1st press and a low starting price.
