From the collection of the same gentleman who obtained the autographed Motley Crue, Shout At The Devil discs when in the employ of Elektra Records we have for a no reserve auction a never played, or even removed from its heavy vinyl sleeve, an original white labeled, promotional copy of Metallica’s, Fade To Black (6:56), 12” single catalogue # ED 5042. Both sides of the disc contain the same title. This is the last of several copies that were in his possession since release. The original vinyl sleeve still retains “The Friday Morning Quarterback” sticker dated 1/25/1985. The strap that holds it closed is also in place and unbroken. That’s the good news. The bad news is the disc does have a defect. There is a starburst crack about an inch and a half from the outer edge and is about one inch wide. It appears that someone leaned on the disc with their elbow, it’s a shame, but it is still a wonderfully rare item and priced accordingly. The last copy he sold here on eBay went for over three hundred dollars several years ago. If you have questions about this item, please make use of the “Ask The Seller A Question” option.
