Test-played on a Revox audiophile linear-tracking turntable if there is any doubt that an LP is in "never played" condition. (Buyers take NOTE: I do not test-play with headphones. If buyers question the condition description of an item, they should not do so based on headphone-listening.)
I do not use "visual inspection" as the only criteria for vinyl condition. Some condition issues are not visible. And I do not use vinyl sellers' grading systems for vinyl condition or album covers.
New archival inner sleeves replace damaged inner sleeves or old paper sleeves. (I hate paper sleeves.) I will include olde sleeves where possible.)
No extraordinary cleaning measures have been used--washing, solutions, etc.
Most of the LPs I sell are in "like NEW" or "never played" condition. Even such LPs occasionally have flaws that are NOT from having been played. Even sealed LPs can have flaws. I try to catch any flaws in (unsealed) LPs. I try to use the description, "like NEW" carefully. I prefer "never played condition," but that is too long for an auction title.
