Description

One of the Rarest auctions of vinyl you may come across....This is the Absolute Original MERCURY LIVING PRESENCE Record TEST PRESSING for "TCHAIKOVSKY SYMPHONIES 1-3" With DORATI conducting the LONDON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA.
Mercury SR2-9015 (MG 50399) (OL2-115)

I am even including a copy of the Original Paperwork that accompanied this Rare Test Pressing. (Please see below).

The Vinyl is in NEAR MINT condition...most likely played by Dorati himself or the album Producer, as Test Pressings were often sent to the Symphony conductor or Producer for statements of approval or rejection.

Here you will find two (2) One-sided Test pressing vinyl records. Both are in Mercury Plain White Generic Test Press Cover. You will note that historically the 1st Lp included in this auction (Received 8/26/65) was "Rejected August 31, 1965" It's written right on the cover!
The other Lp shows the "Received" date and does have a big Red "F" written in magic marker. I am surmising this record also may have been sent back for changes as well.
