Description
Prestige Bluesville 1018, “Just Blues” with Memphis Slim, piano and vocals backed by Harpie Brown, harmonica; Lafayette Thomas, guitar, and Wendell Marshall on bass. Original DG vinyl plays at NM with virtually no background sound. Heavy laminated jacket is VG+ with solid seams all around, light wear on three corners, and age toning and some staining on the back. Songs are “Beer Drinking Woman”, “Teasing the Blues”, “The I.C. Blues”, “Baby Doll”, “Just Blues”, “Blue and Disgusted”, “Blue Brew”, “Back ‘Em Back Jack”, “Motherless Child”, “Brenda”, “When Your Dough Roller is Gone”, and “Hey Slim”. This is one of a set of original Bluesville LPs from several collections brought together for sale this week on eBay. Most are original DG copies in remarkable condition, and many are in the original shrink wrap. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $16.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 additional within U.S. and Canada, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail is strongly recommended at $11.75 extra. Many old records are practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs together may be mailed inside a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
