description: Promo-only vinyl from Mel-man’s sophomore release, Knock Em Off (circa 1993, predates later work with Dr. Dre & Eminem). This material followed up his cassette-only debut, The Mel-man Delivers. This was super-limited, promo-only vinyl. Very few people, in or outside of Pittsburgh, know that this record exists. A-side, which is the title track of the EP, is a narrative in the tradition of ”The Crew Got Paid.” B-side is “Wreck Shop”, has memorable lyrics with Lord Finesse-inspired production.
grade: VG+. Comes in generic sleeve. Record is VG+, shiny luster with some very light surface wear. Plays/sounds fine. B-side sounds like there’s surface noise, but it’s the pressing. I’ve had three copies of this record in twenty years and they all sound the exact same regardless of how clean they are.
