Description

Meat Loaf - Bat Out of Hell Friday Music 2010 USA 180g vinyl  Audiophile remastered LP

This is the much wanted and exceedingly rarely found Friday Music remaster of Meat Loaf's classic 1977 release 'Bat Out Of Hell', remastered by Kevin Gray and pressed at RTI in 2010. Widely regarded as one of the best sounding versions of this title.

Unfortunately this Limited BLUE pressing was delivered really warped (the worst I'd ever seen on a retail product), and though it flattened beautifully pancake-flat once The Orb was used (a very high end vinyl flattening machine), the damage to the vinyl was already done by the large amount of heat that had to be used. It now swooshes through both sides, all tracks, and it has rippled surfaces (hopefully you make that out in the shine in Picture 2?) which means the first track of each side at least, won't play without the arm jumping badly and totally mis-tracking.

So as a playing piece it is rated only Fair, as though 4 of the 7 tracks play OK without jumping, they all suffer from sound quality issues from the terrible warp it had, as the stylus and cart move about in the bobbling head, trying to track it properly. Basically, you've been warned: don't buy this expecting to play it and enjoy the experience.

The cover is actually lovely and and easy VG++ (EX) with just the faint impressions/marks to the front, perfect spine and inner gatefold, no other wear, barcode sticker over top of the cover printed barcode on the back. No splits and still bright clean white where it should be white.  See photos.

Condition :  BLUE vinyl stuffed, cover a beaut.
