Description
Silver label with black text. Elaborate scroll design ring around the edge of the label. This is part of Verve's "Down Home Series". Leader, Meade Lux Lewis, piano; Red Callender, bass; Jo Jones, drums. 8 tracks. All compositions by Lewis. David Stone Martin cover art. Recorded in L.A. in 1955.
Cover: VG++ Intact and clean. Minor aging on the back cover. The 2 white spots on the jacket, one in the center and one at the top edge are from the flash. Minor aging on the back cover with faint record ring along the top and bottom edges of the back cover. Close to Mint.
Record: Mint (-) Visually shows no wear. No markings on the vinyl surface. On Side 1, Track 2, 2 light clicks. On Track 2 the same. On Track 3, 2 faint clicks at the beginning of the Track followed by 5 or 6 light clicks. 4 additional clicks further along the Track and 1 click close to the end of the Track. On Side 2, Track 3, 1 very light click near the beginning of the Track. The slight noise described is very light and practically inaudible. The record is in fine condition. Audibly checked.
