Please note, all records are packed in proper pro card mailers with a minimum of 3 stiffeners for LP’s and 2 for 7" singles ( more if i think they are needed ) . CD’s , Cassettes and DVD’s are sent in strong bubble wrap envelopes. These are also taped with brown parcel tape along all edges and seams for added protection.

McGough & McGear S/T LP VERY RARE ORIG 1968 MONO McCartney Hendrix Pro Cleaned . On UK original black and yellow with silver print paper labels PMC 7047 . Please see photos for track listings . I have copied some extra info below which were McGough & McGears own words :

" As sessions progressed at Dick James’s facilities and De Lane Lea studios elsewhere in London (Mike thinks some might have been done at Abbey Road as well), a host of illustrious rock stars dropped in to lend a hand. Although not credited on the initial release, contributors included Paul McCartney, Jimi Hendrix, Graham Nash, Dave Mason of Traffic, Gary Leeds of the Walker Brothers, ex-Pretty Thing Viv Prince, and ex-Yardbird Paul Samwell-Smith. Paul McCartney’s girlfriend, Jane Asher, sang some background vocals, even bringing along her mother " .

“ It was just a case of who was in town,” says Mike. “We’d all signed contracts [with different labels], and it was like in perpetuity, which really is for life and beyond. We were saying to the record companies and the lawyers, ‘Sod off. We’re friends. There’ll be trouble if we put our names to it, but we’re doing it, whether you like or not " .

 " We did the basic words that were McGough’s words, but then I thought of this idea of having all my favourite painters and then you start going. Jane Asher, who was our kid’s girlfriend then, she narrated it. So the whole album was very much loose and experimental. The best way to sum it up is live and loose. It was that sort of thing where we had no idea what we were doing until we got in, we just went for it. The majority of it was first takes. We just went for it and people were busy they’d come in and give us their time. Jimi Hendrix, come in and play your guitar, off you go. That’s what it was, very much a go for it album, don’t think about it do it " .

COVER: Factory single card cover with a laminated front and rear flipbacks only generally in a near excellent overall condition .The front still retains a nice glossy finish on the laminate with just a very very very few extremely light and small general age related / surface / handling marks in places mainly just the odd extremely light very thin line mark and extremely fine often seen hairline . The usual but very light only ring wear marks are present with just a very light impression of the outer edge of the record in places and just the very lightest bit of rubbing just in places mainly near the opening edge but mainly only seen more at certain angles to the light . Some normal but light only useage / age related wear on the side opening edges with some tiny bits of white showing in places on the very outer edge and a light bit of roughness and very light feathering in places again on the very outer edge and on the inside edge , both edges are still straight with just a very very very slight bit of often seen " gapping " , there are some usual but generally very small bits of very light fraying / rubbing etc and the odd small light dent on and just near to the corners , but mainly on the tips , there are a couple of small laminate crease lines and a very light crease line near the bottom right corner , there are no obvious signs of rubbing etc on the top and bottom edges , there are just a very few usual but very very small laminate crease lines in places round the edges , a lot only seen more at certain angles to the light and there are just a couple of the often seen arched shape laminate creases near the side opening edge . The rear is still very nice and clean overall with just a couple of very faint and very small marks , really very very light indeed and a very small and light bit of rubbing just to the right of centre just above the bottom flipback outer edge , there is a little usual but certainly not heavy grubby line marks on the outer edges of the flipbacks where the laminate has ended short , but this is mainly on the bottom one , all flipbacks are intact with just a few usual laminate crease lines in places , there are a couple of very very light and small crease crack lines near the bottom left corner ( as mentioned on the front description ) on the card and a couple on the laminate by these and three small laminate crease lines on and just very near to the top right corner and one on the top left corner , there is a ( paler than the other blue colour on the rear ) coloured strip running down the right hand side outer flipback edge , but this is literally where the laminate has ended short , i'm not sure if this may even have been like this from new , i can't see it being down to fading etc over time as there is no other fading present , but obviously i can't be 100% certain of this , the spine is near excellent and fully legible , the cover is writing free . I think pretty much all can be seen in the photos but do please just send me a message if you have any other questions , thank you . All in all a nice and clean , strong cover .

INNER SLEEVE: Emitex with grey print poly lined inner sleeve in good condition , there is some age related foxing present and some rippling , there are the usual ring wear marks present and some creasing and denting in places , mainly towards the corners and caused by the outer edge of the record , there is just some light general age / use related wear on the top opening edges with some foxing on the inside edge , there are no seam splits and it is writing free . I will also be putting the record into a new plain white paper inner sleeve .

LABELS: Black and yellow with silver print paper labels with " Sold In UK " generally in near excellent condition , still very nice and extremely clean with just a very small bit of white showing in places round the outer edge of the spindle hole on S1 label ( but not showing any heavy wear ) and just a very few usual but light spindle marks , both labels are writing free.

** Please do bear in mind that a great deal of this vintage LP is spoken word and obviously does have a good amount of age to it so there will be some amount of light noise present on these very quieter spoken parts ** .

RECORD: The overall visual grade of the playing surface under normal average household light conditions is near excellent condition with just two or three very very small and extremely light non feelable surface marks and a bit of manufacturing marbling seen only more at certain angles to the light on S1 and a light bit of dulling seen at certain angles to the light on S2 , there are just a few usual but very light and some very fine mainly whispy type hairlines and sleeve removals , there is no heavy groove wear present at all , there are also no nasty gouges / nasty deep scratches whatsoever , i will also say that a lot of these finer hairlines and dulling etc are really only more visible when held at certain angles to or under a light . Please note that there maybe the odd tiny dust particle or tiny bit of fluff etc seen on the record in places in the photos off my wiping cloth due to static etc , i can't see them on the record at the time but they sometimes do show up when I take the close up photos , this is also because i do take the photos before i vacuum clean the record , thank you for your understanding . AUDIO A SIDE: Silent run in has some usual but generally light noise . It plays and sounds great overall , beautifully crisp and clear throughout on the music playback with really not a great deal in the way of obvious noise that was worthy of mention , there was the occasional mostly very brief bit of really very very light vinyl noise and very very light pop in places to be expected , but i only heard , i think a couple of very light actual ticks , i will say though that approx the last third ( bar the brief bit of spoken on the last brief track which had the occasional very very light pop and very very light noise ) did pretty much play overall close to noise free , i must stress that any of this noise though really was very very minimal only , there was no nasty continuous crackle and no nasty loud ticks . Silent run off has some usual but generally very light noise . This side on the music really does play and sound great and the audio tones are still awesome .

AUDIO B SIDE: Silent run in has some usual but generally light noise and odd very light pop . It plays through great , beautifully crisp and clear throughout on the music playback , there are some more light pops and very light ticks on this side in places than on S1 overall , mainly a bit of occasional very very light static on the quieter parts of the music on T1 , one light tick at the start of T3 and three or four very very light ticks just after in places and a few other very light pops , there were some mostly light pops in places on T4 mainly on the first half , there was the occasional light tick at the very end of T5 and onto the silent track changeover line ( T5 to T6 ) there was the very occasional very very light tick approx three quarters of the way through and onto the silent track changeover line ( T6 to T7 ) , there were a couple of light ticks on the start of T7 . i must stress that again any actual noise was really very minimal and occasional only with it mostly just being light pops / ticks and none of this overpowered any of the spoken word or music in any way whatsoever , i have done a video to try and show some of this , there was no nasty continuous loud crackle present , there may just have been the odd light isolated pop that i may have missed . Silent run off has some usual but generally light noise . This side on the music really does still play and sound great overall and the audio tones are still awesome . I do hope i haven't made this out to be bad in any way as it really isn't , i just try to be thorough with all my descriptions , but can sometimes go a little OTT with noise etc and make it sound worse than it actually is .

** Overall a nice example of this very rare and sought after LP ** .

There were no jumps etc when tested on my deck and it still retains a very nice shine . Any noises tend to be in short bursts only , are over quickly , are not constant and do not spoil any enjoyment . If any noises are more frequent or louder etc , they will be described separately in the above detailed descriptions thank you .

All in all a nice overall example of this now rare and very collectable item . I have started this one off at a very keen £119.99p , the extra shown is what Ebay add on for their fees .
