Description
On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by McGuinness Flint called "C'est La Vie" and is an ORIGINAL 1974 UK TEST Pressing on the 1st Press TEST PRESS Island White labels!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! THIS SURELY HAS TO BE THE RAREST McGUINNESS FLINT LP EVER TO BE OFFERED FOR SALE!!!! AND IT IS VIRTUALLY 100% CERTAIN THAT THIS LP IN THIS FORMAT IS COMPLETELY UNIQUE AND THE ONLY ONE LEFT IN EXISTENCE!!!! THIS IS THE ULTRA RARE 2 X LP ONE-SIDED TEST PRESSING OF THIS LP AND IS MOST LIKELY THE ONLY ONE EVER PRESSED!!!! IT IS QUITE LITERALLY THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP YOU CAN POSSIBLY GET!!!! IT QUITE LITERALLY WOULD HAVE BEEN THE FIRST SET OF RECORDS CUT FROM THE MASTERS BACK IN 1974 - TO CHECK FOR SOUND DEFECTS AND PRESSING QUALITY BEFORE THE PRESSING RUN STARTED. ALL EMI / ISLAND TEST PRESSINGS FROM THIS PERIOD WERE PRESSED IN 'ONE-SIDED' FORMAT - WITH ONE SIDE PLAYING THE MUSIC, AND THE OTHER PLAYING A CONTINUOUS TEST SIGNAL. AND THIS MAKES THIS SET OF TEST PRESSINGS EVEN RARER STILL!!!! BECAUSE OVER THE YEARS MANY TEST PRESSING SETS HAVE LOST 1 OF THE DISCS AND OBVIOUSLY YOU DO NOT HAVE THE COMPLETE LP UNLESS YOU HAVE BOTH DISCS!!!! AND THIS IS BECAUSE (AS EXPLAINED ABOVE) 1 'ONE-SIDED' TEST PRESS DISC PLAYED SIDE 1 OF THE LP, AND THE OTHER DISC PLAYED SIDE 2!!!! AND SHOWING THAT THESE TEST PRESSINGS ARE 100% GENIUNE FROM 1974 THEY HAVE ALL THE CORRECT 'EARLIEST POSSIBLE' 1ST PRESS STAMPINGS!!!! THE FIRST DISC HAS 1/G MOTHER & STAMPER CODES (THE EARLIEST POSSIBLE!) AND THE 1ST PRESS 'ILPS 9302 A-1U' MATRIX ENDING!!!! THE SECOND DISC AGAIN HAS 1/G MOTHER & STAMPER CODINGS (THE EARLIEST POSSIBLE) AND AGAIN THE 1ST PRESS 'ILPS 9302 B-1U'MATRIX ENDING!!!! THE B SIDES OF BOTH DISCS (WITH THE TEST SIGNAL) EACH HAVE LPFB 2 TEST SIGNAL MATRIXES. THE TEST PRESSINGS ALSO COME IN THEIR 100% CORRECT - PLAIN WHITE 'FLIPBACK' TEST PRESS COVER + ANNOTATIONS FROM THE FACTORY & 'QUALITY CONTROL' SEAL!!!! SO THERE IS NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP EVER MADE!!!!
NOTE FROM THE 1 PREVIOUS OWNER:- THIS LP CAME FROM A VERY HIGH RANKING PRODUCER OF THE TIME - AND HE HAD THIS (AS WELL AS MANY OTHERS!) TEST PRESSING IN HIS COLLECTION. HE TOLD ME, THAT (FOR WHATEVER REASON) THIS TEST PRESSING ONLY EVER HAD 1 LABEL, AND INSTEAD OF ENDING UP ON THE RECORD - IT WAS STUCK ONTO THE FRONT OF THE COVER INSTEAD!!!! THIS IS POSSIBLY BECAUSE THERE WAS ONLY 1 LABEL AVAILABLE AT THE TIME - AND SO IT WAS SIMPLY USED AS A TITLE ON THE FRONT. BUT THIS EXTREMELY RARE 'ABBEY ROAD' TEST PRESS LABEL DOES SHOW VERY CLEARLY, THAT THIS 'TEST PRESSING' WAS STRICTLY FOR 'IN-HOUSE' USE ONLY - AND WAS NEVER SENT OUT OF THE FACTORY!!!! SO THIS COULD EVEN BE THE COPY THE BAND REVIEWED THEMSELVES - OR AT THE VERY LEAST, ALMOST CERTAINLY THEIR PRODUCER!!!! EITHER WAY - THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS IS THE ALL TIME 'EARLIEST' & RAREST 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP EVER MADE, AND IS COMPLETELY UNIQUE!!!!
NOT ONLY THAT BUT BOTH DISCS (& THE COVER!) ARE IN BRILLIANT CONDITION AND HAVE BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!! JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!! THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1974 UK 'ABBEY ROAD' TEST PRESSING ON THE ULTRA RARE ISLAND WHITE 'TEST PRESS' LABELS, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS 'TEST PRESS' FLIPBACK 'STICKERED' PLAIN COVER!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the original Island UK TEST 1st pressing from 1974 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! The Cat. No is ILPS 9302 on the 1st Press White TEST PRESS Labels (see picture) and is a UK Stereo TEST pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!!
The record labels on BOTH records are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO writing (apart from some almost INVISIBLE and ULTRA faint factory annotations - though unfortunately these were done in very VERY faint pen (not biro) at the time, and have faded so much, it is almost impossible to see them - let alone read them!), NO wear, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THESE RECORDS HAVE BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!! The vinyl on BOTH records is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and BOTH records have NO scratches, only 2 or 3 VERY light hairlines, NO scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! Please note that obviously I have NOT graded the 'test signal sides' (as there really isnt a lot of point!)!!!! BOTH RECORDS STILL RETAIN THEIR ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND SHINE LIKE NEW!!!! It is great to find that the records play as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO skips, barely ANY clicks AT ALL (virtually NONE!), NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!! The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!! The records must grade Very Good++ if not better!!!! A BRILLIANT SET OF RECORDS!!!! Believe me these records are NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The records also come in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in GREAT condition - with only 2 or 3 age spots on one side ONLY!!!! The ULTRA RARE 1st Press 'Test Press' Flipback Plain 'Stickered' Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear, only a few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking!), barely ANY grubbyness AT ALL, NO yellowing, and NO writing!!!! The 'test press' cover also has its ORIGINAL Factory Annotations (matrixes, date stamps, etc!) and the 'Sealed By Quality Control' Sticker - which was naturally broken open to play the records!!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!! Even the back is in BRILLIANT condition with NO rubbing, barely ANY grubbyness AT ALL, NO yellowing, and NO writing!!!! The cover must grade Very Good++ if not better!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS (ESPECIALLY AS AN 'ABBEY ROAD' TEST PRESSING!) - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!

Though there are rarely ever any problems with my items (I always try my very best to describe everything exactly!) - PLEASE REMEMBER to contact with me FIRST, if you have any problems at all, before you leave feedback and star ratings, so I get a chance to turn any negative experience into a positive one! I can always happily sort anything out for you, if you let me know you have a problem! This way no one has to leave Negative/Neutral feedback - and we both walk away happy! Please do NOT bid if you cannot give me at least 1 chance to sort everything out to your FULL satisfaction in the unlikely event of a problem. Thanks again - Graham @ XXXRecords.
PLEASE NOTE - Private feedback bidders must consult me first prior to bidding - due to previous problems regarding non-payment, and non-receipt. MY POSTAGE UNDERCHARGE GUARANTEE TO ALL BUYERS (I always undercharge on postage!):- Due to UK Royal Mail's obscene price increases this year - I have had no choice but to increase postage charges a little. Until this year - I had kept them exactly the same since I joined ebay back in 2002. However this years price increases have been so obscene, that I have had no choice but to increase my postage charges for the first time ever. However PLEASE NOTE - my absolute 100% guarantee to you as a buyer - is that I will ALWAYS undercharge postage on everything I send out. Even after the increases, I am still charging you the buyer LESS than I am being charged myself. On each package I send out - the price is clearly stated on the front of the package (please check it when you recieve it!). I also do NOT charge for packaging costs - ONLY for postal costs! And should you find that I have overcharged you postage in ANY way - I will refund DOUBLE the difference. THAT IS MY 100% POSTAL GUARANTEE FOR EACH AND EVERY BUYER! No buyer EVER deserves to be overcharged on postage - and on my listings, I'll make sure they are ALWAYS undercharged. Any questions - please ask!
