McCoy Tyner - Passion Dance Milestone (cat # M 9091) Original 1979 test pressing
This is an excellent and unique item, a test pressing of McCoy Tyner's Passion Dance. Released on Milestone in 1979 (cat # M 9091) the record features Ron Carter on bass and Tony Williams on drums. Recorded Live at Denen Coliseum, Tokyo, Japan; July 28, 1978. The album comes in a plain white jacket (no hole) and is in true M- condition with not a scratch or finguremark to be seen on it. "1A" is inscribed In the deadwax after the matrix # - this is the hottest stamper you can find. This record is a must for any fan of McCoy Tyner!!! The Allmusic review by Scott Yanow states "All of Tyner's Milestone records of the 1970's are recommended and this is one of the better ones."
