MAYHEM
OUT FROM THE DARK RED 12 INCH PICTURE DISC. ONLY 800 PRESSED. RELEASED IN 1996.

Very cool looking record, with a photo of the "classic" band line-up on the front and a great photo of their legendary singer Pelle "Dead" Ohlin on the back.

This is a rehearsal set played by the band back with the classic Dead, Euronymous, Necrobutcher and Hellhammer line up. As this is a rehearsal set (meaning it was no doubt recorded using a shitty little stereo in their rehearsal space/Dead's cabin...the same cabin he committed suicide in.) do not expect sonic production. Do not expect release-worthy production at all for that matter! But let's face it, that's not why we listen to this kind of music.
What you will get is a bludgeoning raw performance by a now-legendary black metal back from when they were arguabley at their peak. (I dare you to listen to Freezing moon on this and not smile at how well-performed it is.)
This has been a part of my collection for a long time now so I will be sad to see it go, but I am very proud to have owned this for such a long time.
