Description
Maxwell Street Jimmy Davis. Elektra EKL-303 mono. Produced by Norman Dayron. Liner notes by Pete Welding. This album is from the original 1965 release.
Disc & cover: VG+. There are some radio station stamps on the label and cover. No sign of any disc-wear coming through the cover.
What's with the radio station stamps? The story is, I was a college radio station DJ in the 1960s and a collector of blues and R&B records. I used my position at the station to request promotional copies of records from different labels. Most had a policy of charging a modest fee per LP to small market stations like ours, rather than outright giving away promotional copies. So I paid (our station not having any budget to buy records) and actually kept the records in my dorm room, toting a handful down to the station for my Thursday night shows. Hence, the station stamp and hence the good condition of this record.
