AMAZING ORIGINAL CLASSIC IN NM/NM-, unplayed NOS, This was marketed to a black market and was actually pressed primarily on 78 rpm records in 1959, which was pretty late for that... and this 45 is a primitive pressing on rather recycled looking vinyl, and sampled here at CD quality, the EQ can be pretty much rolled off at 4k according to my spectral analyzer! But I sampled it wtih all the frequencies still there, so you can appreciate the texture of the vinyl, the hiss and the pristine pressing offered here. This is a very rare and rather sexy number, with a great B side as well. The lead singer on both sides is Irvin Rucker, despite the top billing of Mattie on the A side. It's almost unheard of to find this in NOS condition, so watch out for some bidding action... A great dancer, funky 50s R&B with mature subject matter... a great party rocker!

WE DIG THE DEEPEST! When in doubt check out youtube for a listen, 'cause these are the coolest and the rarest! What's the big deal about promos?? Well in the case of many major labels, promos were pressed separate from stock copies. In many cases, such as A&M, CBS and MOTOWN etc, they were pressed on pure virgin vinyl, unlike STYRENE which was used for their stock copies. The sound and quality is markedly better and not to mention the rarity of them, in many cases being one out of many thousand copies.
