In Europe this album sells for up to around $350.00... you cannot buy better than a G/G Graded Copy for under $75.00 !!!!!!!!! ## Like most of Massive Attack's albums, the music often defies categorisation, ranging from R&B (title track and "Sly") to hip hop/rap ("Karmacoma" and "Eurochild") to reggae-tinged synth-pop ("Spying Glass") to classical-influenced electronica instrumentals ("Weather Storm" and "Heat Miser"). The album follows Blue Lines structurally, to the point that the font used on the cover of the album is the same, Helvetica Heavy Italic. The album cover also nods to Blue Lines, revealing a futuristic, impenetrable wall behind a mostly-burned version of this previous album's artwork—implying that the depicted "flammable gas" had been ignited. Tricky again appeared on the album, rapping on the tracks "Karmacoma" (whose video was directed by Jonathan Glazer, and which featured a sample from The KLF's "Dream Time in Lake Jackson" at the 2:00-minute mark) and "Eurochild" (which featured samples from 'Startled Insects' "Cheetah" and Liquid Liquid's "Lock Groove"!! ##
The Vinyl is described as VG/VG+ so please read the following play-test information in full... Play-Test Breakdown For the first minute or so of play, Tracks A1 & B1 play with above average crackles & pops, & background. Hence the VG part of my grading. Tracks A2 through A5 play to VG+ or better. No skips or stops. Spindle marks to both labels. There are a reasonable number of fine hairlines & sleeve marks to both sides of the record. The Vinyl has retained nearly all of its rich waxy lustre. Both Labels have what are referred to as 'Printing Re-Entries' or in layman's terms, a double or tripling etc... of the image & words. Also, the labels have not been attached properly leading to some inadvertent folds & creases. The Cover is described as VG/VG+. There is edge/spine & corner-wear. There cracks to spine & edges with associated wrinkles. There is ring-wear to front & verso. There are colour losses to edges & spine. All seam splits have been repaired both internally as well as externally. Couple of minor stains here & there. Please see attached photos...
