UK 1968 1st PRESSING 45


This disc was the SECOND of the four 45s on The Beatles' own Apple Records label, all released simultaneously on August 30th 1968.


Produced by Paul McCartney, this disc is a UK 1st mono pressing on the dark green Apple label: APPLE 2

Both labels bear the 'Sold in UK.. text with a 'KJT' purchase tax code in the centre of the side 2 label.


Housed in its original matt black Apple company cover.


Matrix numbers: APPLE 2A-1 & APPLE 2B-1

1002 A-1 & 1002 B-1 are crossed out in each respective run-out.

Stamper codes: 1/GLD & 1,8/RRH


CONDITION

Labels: EXCELLENT +

A superb set with just a small collection of light spindle marks to around the side 2 centre hole only.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Extremely clean deep-gloss playing surfaces which display no scuffs or scratches on either side in strong daylight - just some harmless wispy paper hairlines visible directly beneath halogen light.

Play: EXCELLENT

This copy has received just some careful, infrequent play and there is no significant deterioration to the sound quality or any major faults throughout.

Cover

EXCELLENT

Clean & flat with just a few extremely faint wrinkles from storage, but no tears, seam splits or writing.
