graded VG++/VG for a strict Record Collector magazine grading system


label: The red Polydor label with black writings does not have serious wear like writings, heavy marks  but under a brilliant light you can see some marks around the spindle hole especially on side two and this means that the record has been played several times hence VG+ for a strict RC grading system.
cover: The cover it's in nice condition and does have a very elegant laminated triple fold out with all the lirycs inside the gatefold. This cover basically it's in great conditions having just some light creases along the right edge and a little spine split of 1 cm but just in one edge hence it's a minor damage.The cover it's really flimsy and have lost a small piece of the fantastic laminated drawings in the bottom right corner and you can see a plain white part. The drawings it's simply beautiful and one of the best in the progreeive records scene...at least for me!
vinyl: The vinyl it's shining but since the beginning there's a cracking in the short country western banjo introduction but when the beautiful "Mountain Music Part 1" start there's no noises that interfere with the magnificent progressive sound and this is one of the  best progressive track you may have the opportunity to hear ... believe me! ... there's an evident mark on side one that it's positioned between the middle of the first track 'til the first half cm of the third and last track of side one so it's a quite long mark but it's deep  just in some parts and when it's deep inside the grooves he can maybe causing some repetitive clicks. There are five tracks on side one and apart the crackling on the half part of the 45 seconds of "Banjocul" anything go very well 'til the end of third track when you can hear some light repetitive clicks about ten then anything it's fine for about 30 seconds and then other six/seven light clicks and then nothing else 'til the start of last track where the repetitive clicks restart for about 15 times and then nothing more. I've tried to be as more accurate as I can but it's evident that if you don't like the repetitive clicks this is not the record for you. In my opinion these do not interfere too much with the music if not lightly in the start of last track side one but I repeat : don't buy this lp if you don't accept some repetitive clicks because I don't need any disappointement after a so clear description of the problem. I have graded this lp VG just for this problem because he generally play much better that a VG but with a so cautious grade I think that I can't make a bad service. The second side plays a lot better and if not for some isolate pops under the music you will be much more happy listening his beautiful music...anyway in some moments you can hear some seconds of light crackling but nothing of too distubing absolutelly.
review: We are speaking of one of the best progressive lps in the seventies and this is an album that must be present in any collection, maybe also a reissue if you can spend too much for an original but please keep and listen it in some way...ok? The guitar solos are absolutelly great but what it's much more important it's the sound melodic structure that I think does not have an equal in the progressive of seventies. I can hear a Procol Harum touch but with much more electric guitar that organ as in the best scandinavian tradition and the music can be very intense and dynamic or more delicate and fragile but all the times absolutelly superb and unique. Danish original copies are IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND and for a collector a Danish copy it's indispensable because the German one does have a single cover so it's too different to this one with 3 fold out....I think this is a good opportunity to get an original copy of a fantastic album waiting for a better copy  if  they will eventually come...but otherwise you can keep this one without problems because it's absolutelly still an enjoyable copy so...Don't miss! SORRY for the starting price but this is really the minimum I can accept for a so rare item and this is a correct auction very different the many "pushed up" auctions I see all around! Please open your eyes!
