Very few songs embody everything great about the genre that it comes from. This is one of those exceptions. From the driving, pulsating 4 on the floor beat, to the impassioned vocals of Curtis McClain, to brilliant "raggedy" piano playing of Marshall Jefferson. This song is the embodiment of house music, especially Chicago House music. I am instantly transported to 1986/87 whenever I hear this.
This is like the House Music equivalent of "Rock Around The Clock" by Bill Haley & The Comets. Kind of a "shot heard 'round the world" for House Music. It belongs in the "Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame" along side anything made. This is music history.
