Condition
Record: EX (Record plays really well with very light hairlines, certainly nothing serious nor sounding. You would not know its 52 years old sounds nice and clear
Sleeve: VG+ (In picture sleeve as shown which was not manufactured in thick materials. Record has NOT gone through the spine and all are edges are intact. Storage creasing/ ringwear and small hole with light surface damage on the R of Marion)
I use record collector grading but also add a + and - where necessary since their grading standard can be too simplistic.
Mint (M): The record is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. Please note I normally use Near Mint since unless sealed there will always be a minor imperfection!
Excellent (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
