WHY THIS RECORD MATTERS
Released July 1983, Into Glory Ride is Manowar's second album and the first to feature drummer Scott Columbus. It also marks the creative apex of the Ross The Boss era — the record where Manowar's sound fully crystallized into the thundering, mythological, uncompromising heavy metal that would define the genre's most devoted fanbase.
Warlord opens the album with a statement of total conviction. Secret of Steel, Gloves of Metal, and Gates of Valhalla are essential canon. The album closes with March for Revenge (By the Soldiers of Death) — one of the most over-the-top battle anthems in metal history.
This is not a record made for casual listeners. It is a record made for warriors. And it has been delivering on that promise for over 40 years.
CONDITION
VINYL: VG+ approaching Excellent — Clean, deep black grooves with excellent sheen. Plays with outstanding clarity. Light signs of age consistent with a 40+ year old record, nothing that detracts from the listening experience. This copy has been well preserved.
COVER: VG+ — The classic band photo cover with the warriors-and-swords imagery is bold and vivid. Light wear on edges consistent with age. No splits, no writing, no water damage.
I grade conservatively using Goldmine standards.
