Mahler Symphony 2 Klemperer UK Columbia SAX 2473
Hilde Rossl-Madjen and Elizabeth Schwarzkopf with the Philharmonia Orchestra and Chorus conducted by Otto Klemperer perform the Mahler Symphony No. 2 ("Resurrection"). A two record set, this is an English stereo pressing on the Columbia Label (SAX 2473/4). The labels are blue/green with silver radio waves and border. The records are of excellent appearance, and play and sound superb with, at times, low-level surface noise. The cover’s laminate has rubbed badly with a ring.
