The band was formed by Howard Devoto after leaving punk band Buzzcocks in early 1977. Devoto had decided to create a more progressive and less "traditional" rock band! ## The Vinyl is described conservatively as Excellent+ & looks like it's been played approx. a half dozen times. Fully play-tested playing with amazing sound quality, below average background & no skips or stops. Very few signs of play. One or two spindle marks to both labels. There are a few extremely fine hairlines & barely visible sleeve marks to both sides of the record. The Vinyl has retained nearly all of its rich waxy lustre. The Cover is made from thick US card & is described as Excellent. There is some visible edge/spine & corner-wear. There are some fine cracks to spine & edges with associated wrinkles. There is some minor ring wear to front & verso. Cont'd... There are some colour losses to edges & spine. No seam splits. Couple of minor stains here & there. Previous owner's name has left an imprint top right cover that can only be seen with strong light at one extreme angle. Minor foxing both sides. Small UK Crown/Flag moniker in unseen inner part of cover. Please see attached photos...
