Description

Madness - Mad Not Mad SIGNED LP 1985

Virgin JZLP-1

A signed copy, nicely done with silver ink pen, each member has signed next to his picture on the cover. The inner sleeve is also signed, with two of the signatures dedicated to "Paul". If you name is Paul then you're in luck! The outer cover does not have this dedication. Signed on 30/09/1985 presumably at the Southampton gig on the Mad Not Mad tour, according to quick google check of that year's tour dates.

Grading details:

The record:  The vinyl is in great shape and hasn't been played much by the looks of it. No jumps or sticks or clicks. A couple of faintly visible hairline paper scratches, but they do affect the playback  My overall grade for the vinyl is VG+

The labels: Graded VG+. No marks no writing, some minor centre hole spindling.

The Sleeve: Graded as VG. Some natural storage wear, but no tears or rips. Signed by the band in silver ink.

The lyric inner sleeve is VG+ Signed by the band in silver ink.

Please study the description and all the photos carefully before bidding.

The returns policy: As you can see a lot of trouble has been taken to ensure a full and correct description,  as I believe it is very important on items like this. If by some chance you do disagree with my grading, and are not happy, you are welcome to return it for a refund. Please contact me first. Opening disputes before contacting a seller to sort things out is not necessary. Buyer pays postage and should send back using a signed for service to be 100% safe.

Postage; UK mainland is £4.50 RM signed for.

About me: I have been collecting and working with records for over 30 years and spent almost all of the 80’s working in a vinyl record shop, so when I grade records I will often be conservative and under grade, which means nothing that is secondhand is ever graded Mint, even if it looks unplayed. All records are from my own collection and are carefully play tested before listing on a Technics SL1600 turntable. I have 100% feedback on EBay and most of my records will be listed as VG or EX even if they are in better condition.

Records are graded according to the official Record Collector grading guide below.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

Pay Pal only.
