Description
Machito, Puente, Loco - "Mambo Caravan"
Maybe 1955 / Tico / LP-1007
Early pressing of this amazing LP by the latin "supergroup" of Mambo Kings Machito, Tito Puente and Joe Loco. Mambo, cha-cha, afro-cuban beats never sounded so good.
This is an original Tico pressing, with the original black labels with silver print that have "Tico" at the top, with the banner going across that reads "King of the Cha Cha Mambo."
Condition:
Vinyl: EX+ (clean with hardly any sign of play, a few small white spots)
Cover: VG+ (clean with minimal shelfwear. Very small (2 mm) splits at top and bottom of opening)
Tracklisting:
Ebony/Tee Pee Mambo/Goody Goody/Caravan Mambo/Mambo America/In The Mood //Honeysuckle Rose/Mambo Diablo/Autumn In Rome/Mambo U.S.A./Moonglow/I Can't Give You Anything But Love Baby
Grading based on Record Collector Guidelines:
Mint (M). The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed will generally be Mint.
Excellent (EX). The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good (VG). The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good(G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc.
Plus “+” and minus “-“ signs are used to provide additional detail when I think the condition is between two specific grades. So, for example, “NM-“, or “Near Mint Minus”, will be a tiny bit better than “VG+” or “Very Good Plus”.
I package records in cardboard mailers with some form of insulation, and purchase Delivery Confirmation (United States buyers only), for your protection and mine. This means shipping costs are a little more than the arbitrary limit set by Ebay (generally a dollar at most.) I can combine items to help minimize shipping charges - just request a total amount, and I will send an invoice for everything. However I can only wait up to 7 days from the end of an auction for you to win additional auctions. At the end of 7 days you will need to pay for all the items you have won in that period.
So if you win an auction, please wait for me to send you an invoice with the actual shipping charges. Domestic shipping is $5 via Media Mail for anything up to 3 LPs. For each extra LP, add $1 to the shipping fees (This includes Multiple LP sets, as the US Postal Service charges by weight.) So, a 4 LP album would have shipping charges of $6, within the United States. Other services are available upon request – just email me with the service you want so I can get you a quote.
International shipping quotes are available upon request. Just let me know what country you are in, and if you have any special requests (such as insurance, tracking, etc.) I will use the cheapest service available (First Class) as a default. Note that First Class is limited to 4 pounds (about 1.8 Kilos) – anything over must use Priority, which is slightly more expensive.
