Original 1986 USA vinyl LP on St Valentine records (NEE - 202). This is their first vinyl LP (they had at least 4 cassettes before this though)
BAND INFO:  My Dad Is Dead was formed by Mark Edwards in 1985 after a stint drumming in Riot Architecture. While primarily an Edwards solo project, a small rotating cast of musicians also joined the band for live performances and on some recordings - most notably Prisonshake's Chris Burgess (who also recorded and/or produced most of MDID's output until around 1993), and a pre-Tortoise John McEntire. After the release of A New Clear Route in 2009 Edwards wound down the My Dad Is Dead project, with a farewell performance taking place in 2011 and the debut album from his new band, Secular Joy, being released the following year.

I personally got this bands full output on CD in the 90's, first two vinyls never came out on CD, vinyl only (I own the full lengths #3 -10 approx), info sheet is the only way I know about the 4 casssette only releases, excellent indie band. Final note on the lyrics/breakdown page "Everything has already been done, some people just do it differently."

• CONDITION: The cover is VG with the radio station WTHS written in black marker on the front & blue check marks by certain tracks on the back, this cover was poorly made & it has a very weird sheen on it (I'm convinced a good cleaner will take off the waxy film on it) no luck though so just keep it in a plastic sleeve always, record is EX to near mint.

All records are BLACK VINYL unless noted & inserts/gatefold covers/posters/custom inner sleeves will be noted in the description if they are included plus promo & cutout marks stated if they are there also. I don't believe in hiding stuff & try to note most everything that should matter to buyers. All 12" vinyl on ebay is automatically listed as 33 1/3 rpm & 7" vinyl as 45 rpm (to save time on listing all this stuff) if you need to confirm speed on a specific item please ask & I can go check. Different shipping speeds/ rates using USPS no problem at cost plus .50 cents for the mailer.
