Description

Much sought-after Stateside (SS-267) release of Who Do You Love by the Sapphires, the almost-Soul black group from Philly featuring Carol Jackson, George Gainter and Joe Livingston. They cut for Swan Records. I say "almost Soul" because the men were almost inaudible and the gorup had the trilling sound of the Shirelles and Chiffons. This disc is in Excellent condition, with no superficial scratches and clean label. (I never describe anything as Mint but this is as close as it gets). Played only once or twice I should think. Stateside label provided. Listed at £70 Mint on this label in Rare Records Price Guide, 2012. Flipped by Oh So Soon.
