1958's 'Music for Children (Schulwerk)', is a rare and dazzling beautiful album from Carl Orff, Gunild Keetman and Margaret Murray. The album follows a choir of children singers, chanting nursery rhymes and children's songs in spookily stirring harmonies across a minimal backdrop of the occasional discordant xylophone or pieces of percussion. Possibly one of the most lovely and poetic, yet also spine chillingly eerie things I've heard in a long time.
