With picture sleeve, centre intact and even including the original paper inner sleeve. A very nice copy all over, rare in this condition! All four songs were originally Earl Hooker instrumentals (You Shook Me was originally “Blue Guitar” etc.), but were overdubbed with vocal tracks with Muddy to make them more ‘commercial’. Legendary DJ / collector / enthusiast / Wildman / manager / producer Guy Stevens put all four out on an EP on Pye Records’ R&B label, and the rest is history: Jeff Beck Group made a mighty cover of You Shook Me, followed by Led Zeppelin, who took it even further. Guy Stevens later gave band names to Procul Harum and Mott The Hoople, were involved with several other bands and will be notoriously remembered for producing “London Calling” with The Clash.
