Front Cover: EXCELLENT PLUS, Back Cover: VG++, Vinyl: EXCELLENT, Labels: EXCELLENT! This is an ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING 1962 HIGH FIDELITY 12-INCH 33 1/3 LP RPM RECORD/THICK PRESSING! This was the THIRD ALBUM issued by MUDDY WATERS! And, this is a VERY RARE FIRST PRESSING! This appearance at the NEWPORT JAZZ FESTIVAL was a career changing event for MUDDY! He saw this was a chance to break into the just-emerging white market for blues music; and to break out of the limited Chicago club scene. And, man did he TURN IT ON! He gave one of the highlight appearances of his life! And, it is all captured here! He had his MOJO working all right that day! INCREDIBLE! This record is in EXCELLENT condition! [there is a 4-inch minor crease that runs across the upper left corner. there is a light minor one-inch crease located 2-inches to the right of Muddy's guitar, the back cover shows that it was not stored in plastic. But, NO TEARS or SPLITS!  The vinyl has some very light and minor surface scuffs and light and minor surface marks, but nothing that can be heard while playing the record.] This record PLAYS FANTASTIC! The beginnings of ring wear will be evident on the cover and some surface scuffs will appear on the vinyl, BUT record will play with no background noise. VG++: use is evident but not bad. Cover has ring wear and vinyl has noticeable surface wear. Should play with NO surface noise during the music. VG+: average used record, looks OK, plays OK. No surface noise is noticeable during the music. Some surface noise is possible during quiet passages. VG: Cover shows more than normal wear and vinyl shows more than normal wear.
