Description
This is one of the rarest of all McCartney promos, here in superb condition. Announcing McCartney Production Limited’s move to Soho Square in 1976 or 1977, this EP contains not only snippets of hits by various artists whose publishing rights were owned by MPL, but also the only official, albeit brief appearance (to this day) of “Tragedy” by Wings on record or CD. The two-sided 7” disc includes other heavily abridged Wings/McCartney hits, a lot of Frank Sinatra, some Buddy Holly and Gene Vincent, and a bit of “Tomorrow” by McCartney cousin Kate Robbins, preceding its 1978 MPL release. I have not played this while in my care but it looks great with a few very light surface marks, probably from the original white paper sleeve that houses it. The labels are stunning and the vinyl is shiny and bright. (If the latter is redundant, I'm trying to say it looks great.) MPL pressed only 1,000 of these in 1976 or 1977, and only a relative few seem to have made their way to market since.
