FOURTH ALBUM from the kings of early seventies hard rock in a half live, half studio setting. Side one if the studio side and showcases the band in slightly mellower form than previous efforts. Concentrating on songs rather than bluster the band negotaiate through five choice tracks heavy on melody and hooks with 'One Last Cold Kiss' sounding like son of 'Nantucket Sleighride' and 'Crossroader' raiding the Cream cupboard in a blatent orgy of plagerism. Leslie West is still prominant but in a far more relaxed way, shelving rampant power chording for a more refined bluster and that instantly identifiable lead guitar tone.

Side two showcases live material taken from, surprise surprise, a Fillmore East concert, including the lengthy 25 minute 'Dream Sequence' incorporating a humongous guitar solo from West and enough improvisation to keep Deep Purple in business for decades. Look out too for a superb live version of 'Mississippi Queen' with charging cow bell at the forefront and super heavy riffing.

Mountain doing what Mountain do best - raw, heavy and utterly uncompromising.

Cover: Only minor signs of any use. Issued in a beautifully illustrated cover - retains full printers bloom. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is straight and stiff with original pinches top and bottom. Grades as a shop fresh MINT-!
