As many people may already know, I usually end all my items on Sunday nights (and these will still continue!)!!!! However as I had quite a few extra items of UTMOST RARITY come in to me this week (they really are TOP QUALITY, and NOT cheap overstock!) and completely ran out of time to list them last Sunday - I decided to do a 'one off' set of listings of Wednesday auctions ending on Wednesday 9th July!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! THIS IS ONE OF MOTT THE HOOPLE'S ALL TIME RAREST LPs EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!! JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!! BACK IN 1973 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!! AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!! THIS LP IS MADE EVEN RARER STILL - AS IT IS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE, WITH A1/B1 MATRIX ENDINGS, AND ULTRA RARE 'PROMOTIONAL' STICKER ON THE COVER FRONT (LATER ONES NEVER DID!)!!!!
NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING CONDITION - AND IS UNDOUBTEDLY THE BEST CONDITIONED 1ST PRESSING I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!! THE COVER ON THIS LP HAS SO MUCH TO GO WRONG WITH IT ('DIE-CUT' FRONT, PLASTIC FILM 'FACE', AND SINGLE THICKNESS FRONT GATEFOLD!) - AND IS INCREDIBLY FRAGILE!!!! BUT THIS ONE IS SIMPLY THE BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN - LOOKS LIKE IT JUST CAME FROM THE SHOP!!!! AND EVEN IN THE ULTRA THIN 'LYRIC' INNER SLEEVE IS IN AMAZING CONDITION AND HAS BARELY BEEN TOUCHED SINCE NEW!!!! JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!! THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1973 UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS ORANGE CBS LABEL, 1ST PRESS A1/B1 MATRIX ENDINGS, 1ST PRESS 'LYRIC' INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS 'SHOREWOOD' GATEFOLD 'DIE-CUT' COVER (WITH PLASTIC FLAP!)!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL CBS UK 1st Pressing from 1973 and is in AWESOME condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is CBS 69038 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press CBS label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos!)!!!!
The record labels are in AWESOME condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS ONLY EVER BEEN PLAYED ONCE OR TWICE AT THE VERY MOST!!!! The vinyl is in absolutely AWESOME condition!!!! Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, only 1 MEGA light scuffline, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND LOOKS AMAZING!!!! It is also great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!! The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!! The record must grade Excellent++ if not better!!!! AWESOME RECORD!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Lyric' inner sleeve which is in AWESOME condition - and is UNSPLIT, UNFRAYED, and has NO REPAIRS either!!!! AN AWESOME INNER SLEEVE!!!! The ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Shorewood' Gatefold 'Die-Cut' Cover (& plastic flap!) is in absolutely AMAZING condition - and EASILY the best I have EVER seen!!!! It has NO edge wear (PERFECT flat & straight edges!), NO spinal wear (PERFECT vertical spine with PERFECT side words!), barely ANY corner wear AT ALL (NOT through the colour!), NO creases AT ALL (apart from 2 or 3 of the TINIEST and LIGHTEST ones ONLY!), cover is PERFECTLY flat looking with NO loss of shape, only some very VERY minor evidence of 'tipping in' to a couple of the EXTREME corner tips ONLY, NO ringwear, NO rubbing AT ALL, NO sticker tears, a 100% PERFECT 'die-cut' (NO burring, NO rips, NO tears, and PERFECT edges to ALL parts of the 'die-cut'!), and NO writing!!!! The opening edges are beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the inside of the cover is in AWESOME condition with NO grubbyness, NO yellowing, NO ringwear, NO rubbing, NO writing, and the 'plastic flap' is in PERFECT condition - with NO bending, NO glazing, and is PERFECTLY held in position!!!! In fact, the ONLY details to mention on this cover (which are so very VERY minor that most people wouldnt ever see them, let alone mention them!) - is 2 or 3 TINY sticky residue traces in the bottom right corner on the cover front (these are almost INVISIBLE, are absolutely TINY, have NOT left a residue stain AT ALL in the cover - as they are on top of the cover surface!), and one light impression line to the right of the cover (which has NOT damaged the cover in ANY way AT ALL, is only visible under angled light - and is as minor as it gets!!!! The cover is in absolutely AMAZING condition - and I know I will never EVER see a better one!!!! The cover must grade Excellent++++ if not MINT(Minus)!!!! AWESOME COVER!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
