MOTT THE HOOPLE 'Mott' 1st Press ROCK Vinyl Record CBS S69038 A1/B1 1973.
Captures the era perfectly - transporting the listener back to a gone but certainly not forgotten era where the only thing bigger than the platform shoes were the guitar riffs.
VINYL: Very few marks and hairlines - only a small handful can be detected under strong light. The vinyl generally maintains its original glossy shine. A small amount of the usual age related crackle can be heard on the run in, in between songs and during the very quiet passages. This does not distract from the quality of the songs and is to be expected with a record of this age.
LABEL: The iconic orange CBS label is in excellent condition. No writing or marks. No trace of spindle wear.
INCLUDES ORIGINAL CBS PAPER INNER WITH PRINTED LYRICS: Excellent condition with no rips or tears.
SLEEVE: Die cut unlaminated gatefold cover is in excellent condition for its age. No rips, tears or writing. The sleeve maintains its original colour with no evidence of foxing or discolouration. There are only a few tiny inoffensive scuffs (on very close inspection) and slight wear on the flipback edge at the bottom of the back cover - possibly the result of removing the record from the collection over a number of years (see picture). The spine is clear and true but has slight creases. Front cover displays the original hype sticker. Unfortunately the acetate has come loose from the sleeve but is present and included. I have kept the sleeve grading at a strong VG+ due to the loose acetate.
This record has been play tested and carefully graded.
