Description

This is an ultra rare, unplayed, limited edition promo copy version of the Australian release of Motörhead’s fifth album Iron Fist. This was the final album to feature the classic ‘Three Amigos’ line up of Lemmy, ‘Fast’ Eddie Clarke and Phil ‘Philthy Animal’ Taylor and was released by Festival Records in Australia in 1982, catalogue number L37841 / BRNA 539.


This version was pressed by Festival Records in Aus using the Bronze labels (the same the original UK release) and featured the inner sleeve with band phot and printed lyrics.


This limited edition promo copy version included the hype sticker on the front cover which reads “includes FREE SEW ON PATCH”

This version also included a 'HEAVY METAL IS HERE' 8" x 12" promo flyer.


This collector’s edition promo album has never been played and I’ve kept it in a protective sleeve in my collection in a climate controlled room since 1982.

The record was only taken out of its sleeve for the first time today to be photographed, so there are no spindle marks on the labels, the vinyl is pristine - and very importantly the sew on patch is still in the inner sleeve! Along with the flyer for TANK, MOTÖRHEAD and The RODS


This copy has some feint storage ring marks on the back and front covers and there are some streaking lines on the back cover, quite common for Festival Records pressings from the early 80’s because they were renowned for not using the most expensive inks, so their black covers in particular show signs of aging from storage.
